The Update Productiv Field task enables you to modify your App portfolio directly from a workflow step ensuring that your data is synced and kept up to date.

 

Adding “Update Productiv field” task to a workflow step

1. Go to “Manage workflows”
2. Choose an existing workflow or create a new one.
3. Click on the step where you want to add the “Update Productiv Field” task.
4. In the step properties pane (right pane), Click on “Add task” and select “Update Productiv fields” task.
5. The task would show the initial state, with  the message “No Productiv fields added”
6. Click the “+ Productiv Field” button to add a custom app field
7. 
   1. From the list select the Custom app field you want to be updated as part of the workflow step. Need be you can add multiple custom app fields to this task.
   
    
   1. (Optional) you can add description to this task, to provide more context for assignee of  this task.
   2. Depending on the type of Productiv field, you have the option to either add a default value or leave it empty to be filled by the assignee during the workflow run. Additionally for text input fields, you can assign a smart field value as the default value for the Productiv field.'

   2. Required Fields: At least one Productiv field must be selected for this task.
   Note: This task is available only in Renewal workflows and can be added to the Request Approval, Custom Step, and Review Step.
    

   Editing the “Update Productiv Field” Task in a Workflow Step

   1. Go to the “Manage workflows”
   2. Choose the workflow you wish to edit.
   3. Click on the step you want to modify.
   4. In the “Update Productiv Field” task, you can delete an existing field by clicking the "Delete" icon. You can then add a new field if needed.
   Note: Changes will only apply to workflow runs initiated after this update. In-progress workflows will not be affected with this change.
    

   Updating Productiv fields by an assignee 

   1. When a step is assigned to the assignee in a workflow, assignee can view that assigned step either by going to your Inbox and clicking the assigned step or Clicking on the Slack message notification about the assigned step.
   2. In the  overview screen, navigate to the Open tasks section and click on “view” to open the assigned step.
   3. View the assigned tasks
   4. Go to the “Update Productiv field”  task, update the values for the custom app field and proceed to complete the task
   
   Upon completing the task, the enterered values for  custom app fields for that specific app would be synced with the updated values .
