Viewing change over time for an app

See how activity has changed over time

Track trends in activity and monthly spend over time for an app on the Change over time chart on the app's Overview page.

There are different views of the Change over time chart, depending on the type of app selected and what data is available, including the Suite Activity, App Activity, Activity, and Monthly Spend. For all charts, hover over the date or month to see additional details.

To see the usage trend over a different time period, select 3 months, 6 months or 12 months at the bottom of the chart.

Select Download trends as .csv to send data to a .csv file.

Activity

When an individual app with an engagement connector is selected, the Change over time chart plots provisioned, engaged and inactive users over the selected window of time.

View any annotations by selecting the annotation markers at the bottom of the chart. Application Admins and Productiv Super Admins can add a new annotation to the chart.

Filter the chart by the type of provisioning or activity by selecting the Provisioned, Engaged and Inactive labels at the bottom of the chart.When an individual app with an SSO connector is selected, the Change over time chart plots estimated total users, unique logins and inactive users over the selected window of time.

Filter the chart by type by selecting the Estimated Total Users, Unique Logins and Inactive labels at the bottom of the chart.

Instance activity

When an app with multiple instances is selected, the Change over time chart includes an interactive comparison of app activity for the instances of the app over the selected window of time.

To select one or more individual instances for the chart, select the Add instance filter to select instances. Selected instances are highlighted and shown as labels for the chart.

To remove an app from the display, click the X next to the app name label.

Monthly spend

When payment and/or expense information is available for the selected app, the Change over time chart Monthly Spend tab plots payments and expenses for all instances of the app over the selected window of time.

Filter the chart by type by selecting the Payments and Expenses labels at the bottom of the chart.

Open the Past spend tab for additional details.

Suite activity

When a suite of apps is selected, such as Office 365, the Change over time chart plots provisioned, engaged and inactive users as compared to the total contract enterprise licenses over the selected window of time. Every person who engages with one of the child apps is counted.

Filter the chart by the type of provisioning or activity by selecting the Provisioned, Contract licenses, Engaged and Inactive labels at the bottom of the chart.

App activity

When a suite of apps is selected, the Change over time chart includes an interactive comparison of app activity for the apps in the suite over the selected window of time.

To select one or more individual apps for the chart, select the Add app filter to select apps in the suite. Selected apps are highlighted and shown as labels for the chart.

To remove an app from the display, click the X next to the app name label.
