Productiv now offers Provisioning only connectors. These connectors interface directly with apps to fetch accurate user provisioning and license tier information (some Provisioning connectors may not support license tiers), and supplement existing SSO login data with this info. These Provisioning connectors are in addition to Engagement connectors that collect granular usage and provisioning data for applications.
Connecting a Provisioning Connector
Provisioning connections are always linked to an existing SSO-connected instance of the application in Productiv. When a Provisioning connector is set up, the enhanced provisioning data fetched by the connector replaces the estimated provisioning data provided by the SSO platform connector for that instance.
Historical provisioning estimates for dates before the date the Provisioning connector was connected remain available after connecting.
Because provisioning connectors must be attached to an existing instance of the application with SSO login data, they cannot be connected in the following cases:
- An SSO platform connector is not set up in Productiv
- The app being connected does not have any (non-social) login data from the SSO connections
- All SSO-based instances for the application already have a provisioning connection set up
Disconnecting a Provisioning connection
When disconnecting a Provisioning connection, data collected by the provisioning connector from before the date it was disconnected is still be available in Productiv. After this date, the instance uses estimated provisioning information from the SSO platform connector.
Deleting an existing Provisioning connection
When deleting a Provisioning connection, all data collected by the Provisioning connector is removed from the instance it was attached to. The instance instead shows estimated provisioning information from the SSO platform connector for all dates.
It may take a few hours for the instance to resume showing data after a provisioning connection is deleted.
Please note that a connector must be disconnected before it can be deleted.
