What Is It
Grouping contacts allows you to gather contracts with the same:
- application
- end date
Together they aggregate to form a single line within the contracts page, called a Renewal Group. Renewal Groups can also be customized and created as part of a feature release with the Renewal Tracker.
Why Is It Important
Previously you could not group contracts together and never had a way to view data easily within the contract page.
How It Works
Renewal groups are now generated by default
- You start with a screen where the information is aggregated.
The following table defines the values shown at the group level for a field
| Contract ID | Shows the largest ID (by $) as well as highlight multiple values |
| Term | Shows the largest term value, but shows multiple values |
| TCV | Contract Term Spend is sum of all contracts |
| Contract Annual Spend | Sum averaged of all Contract Annual Spend of the contracts |
| ACV | Annual Spend - average value across all contracts over the term |
| Earliest Start Date | Earliest start date |
| Earliest End Date | Earliest end date |
| Autorenew | Set to true if any contract AR is true |
| Renewal Opt out date | Earliest opt out date |
| Payment term | Listed from the longest contract |
| Payment frequency | Listed from the longest contract |
- Deselect the Show Renewal Group checkbox.
The contracts ungroup accordingly, as shown below.
Can I Customize Renewal Groups?
Renewal groups will be generated by default based on contracts having the same application and end date. However in a future release we will support users defining and specifying which groups they would like via the Renewal Tracker at a later date.
