By April 2022, Productiv will be migrating some customer data into Snowflake. Snowflake’s enhanced security will keep your data secure; its data warehousing capabilities will help all Productiv teams by making key data more easily accessible to the right people.

FAQs
What data is going there?
The types of data we will copy into Snowflake falls into two broad categories:
- Productiv usage data, including user activity on our platform and configurations selected for workflows and (if applicable) AppCenter.
- Customer application data, including usage, spend, and contracted terms (such as provisioned users)
How is the data getting there?
We currently store your data in S3, part of Amazon Web Services (AWS). This is also where the data you see when you log into Productiv lives. We plan to use Snowpipe, Snowflake’s automated data service, to transfer the data we need from our AWS instance into Snowflake.
How long is it stored there?
Once the data is copied to Snowflake, it stays there long-term. We would stop storing your data only if you decide to stop subscribing to Productiv, and request that we delete your data. If you had opted into our aggregated benchmarking service, we would retain anonymized data points for use only in aggregated benchmarking.
Can I opt out of this?
You may, although we encourage you to consider the benefits of having your information stored in a best-in-class system. Snowflake’s excellent security and compliance were a primary reason we chose them, and we expect to see meaningful improvements in our ability to meet your needs through enhanced data querying ability.
