2022-08-05: Productiv Export APIs

Productiv has created an API interface for third-party developers who want to leverage Productiv insights on all in-house apps, including those that are not resident within Productiv.

The Productiv Data Export API enables programmatic access to Productiv data and insights to drive clarity and decision-making.

Two powerful endpoints let you fetch information about your entire app portfolio in real time. This includes Discovered (unmanaged) applications that may require IT attention. You can also pull extensive detailed metadata about each application, including its date of discovery, existing application owner contacts, contract details and activity.

For example, the Data Export API can help you:

• Create a single list of IT assets and pull that data into ITSM/ITOM solutions like ServiceNow, to build a single view of all their software or IT assets that is always up to date
• Avoid overprovisioning. Productiv's Data Export API can provide an up to date count of active and available licenses that can help IT avoid overprovisioning and costly contract true-ups.

The Data Export API provides two endpoints:

• Get App List returns the entire list of applications that are a part of your company’s portfolio. In addition, the endpoint also returns some additional metadata like ApplicationId, AppStatus.
• Get App Details returns detailed information for any app in your environment, including App Status, Date of Discovery, and Last Activity Date, as well as rich objects around Activity, Contracts, and Contacts.
