Enhanced Multiple Assignees gives you more flexibility when assigning tasks within a step. Previously, assigning multiple users to a step would needed creation of separate steps for each user. This limited the ability for assignees to collaborate on the same steps, take ownership of step, and created arbitrary restrictions on steps that could lead to potential data overwrites (e.g. Create Renewal Proposal or Finalize Contract). Now, a single step can be assigned to any combination of users or groups. Resulting in the following advantages
- Collaboration is easier: All assignees can see and contribute to the tasks within the step, fostering teamwork.
- Ownership is clear: The step itself remains a single unit, ensuring clarity and ownership.
- Reduced complexity: No more unnecessary steps created for each assignee, simplifying your workflow.
- Fewer restrictions: You can assign steps that involve shared ownership or multiple contributors without worrying about data conflicts.
How?
When configuring Workflows, you can choose to assign any step to multiple users or multiple groups.
Assignee can re-assign the step modifying the original assignee(s) or add a new assignee.
User can now easily claim a task assigned to the group, to just themselves with the one click “Assign to me” button.
