Discover applications through expenses and payments
As centralized systems of record for financial data, spend platforms provide visibility into SaaS application spend.
Connecting Productiv to your company’s spend data enables:
- Application discovery
- Complete spend insights for applications
- User and team spend insights, when combined with your company’s org chart data
What are the different kinds of spend data?
Payments are usually defined as spend against invoices (also known as bills or promises to pay) for goods and services. Your company might use a finance system like Netsuite, Concur, Quickbooks, or Bill.com to manage and track payments against invoices.
Expenses are usually defined as spend by employees. This is most commonly done via organization credit card or personal credit card and then reimbursed. You might use an expense systems like Expensify, Netsuite, QuickBooks, et cetera to manage and track expenses.

CSV upload
If there isn’t a supported API connection for the platform you use or if you prefer to try out the data before connecting via API, Productiv also offers a .csv file upload method. While this option is less automated and may require regular .csv uploads to keep data up to date, it does ensure you can get data insights from platform applications.
