Select spend categories to pull, store, and display
Connect spend data for visibility into payments and expenses across your app portfolio. If a connector is available for your expense and payment systems, you will be prompted to configure which spend categories on the spend platform to pull, store, and display.
If no connector is currently available for your spend system, you can upload a csv of spend data instead.
API connection
Productiv offers direct API connections to a variety of spend tools. These connections enable automated data pulls for easy data ingestion and insights. To view the list of available Spend connectors in Productiv, do the following:
- Log into Productiv.
- Click Settings.
- In Platform Data Source, scroll to Spend and click the >.
- Scroll down to Add more data sources.
How to configure spend categories
- Locate your payments or expense system from the list of Spend connectors in Productiv.
- Review the supporting Setup guide to understand the requirements for configuring the connector.
- Provide the required information in the available fields for your spend system.
- Select the spend data categories to show in Productiv:
- Show SaaS spend from all categories (recommended).
- Show Saas spend only from software-related categories (i.e. has ‘software’ in category title).

Show SaaS spend only from specified categories.
- Select the data to be stored in Productiv. Either store all categories, or store only specified categories. If you want to store only specified categories, specify categories in the available text box, with each category on a new line.
NOTE: Choosing only specific categories will both limit the discoverability of new apps from other categories, and any historical spend for categories added later will not be available
