Identify functional contacts for an app
Let other Productiv users know who to contact for an app by providing app contacts. Assign separate or multiple contacts for finance, security, IT, legal, function, vendor or other functional areas related to the app.
To open the app contacts, open the app and select +New/Edit from the details on the app Overview page.
Assign app contacts
To assign one or more app contacts, complete the following steps:
- Select +New/Edit.
- Do one of the following:
- Click + Add Contact to add a contact, or
- Delete an existing contact
- Select the type of contact from the Contact person type drop down list (see the App contact notifications table below).
- Enter the contact’s Name. As you start typing the name, matching users are listed to complete the name, email and permissions for this contact. Otherwise, a new user will automatically be provisioned to Productiv.
- Enter the contact’s Email address.
- Enter the contact’s Phone number (optional).
- Repeat steps 1-6 to add other contacts for the app.
- Select Save and close.
The app contacts are listed on the Overview page for the selected app.
Adding/editing contact types
If you would like to rename existing contact types or add a new one, navigate to the Settings > Users and scroll to the section titled App contact type. Here you can edit existing app contact names (eg. change Functional Contact to App Owner) or create a new one all together (e.g. App Stakeholder).
App contact notifications
By assigning a user as an app contact, that person will also automatically be subscribed to the relevant notifications about the app, unless the contact person type is Vendor or Other.
