The “SSO Coverage” widget on the dashboard (shown above) now no longer considers apps that only have Google Social Login events as being “Behind SSO” by default.
Why?
- The SSO Coverage Widget (Shown above) is designed to give users a snapshot of their SSO coverage for applications used by their organization.
- Google Social Logins are logins to apps where users clicked a “Sign in with Google” button to create or access an account with their company Google ID.
- With this update, customers can get a more accurate view of their SSO coverage by removing apps using Google Social Logins from the count of “SSO Enabled” apps.
How does it work?
The SSO Coverage widget now includes an option to “Include Google Social Login.” When social logins are not included, an app will not be considered “SSO Enabled” unless we’ve seen at least one non-social login event for it. Additionally, an app will not be considered to support SSO if it only supports Google Social Login.
Note: By default, this option is disabled.
On a per-user basis, users may edit their dashboards to change this option (or add a new widget with the option enabled) if they wish. Widgets with this option enabled show a different title at the top.
