Parallel approvals speed up your workflows by allowing multiple approvals to happen simultaneously. No more waiting for one approval before starting the next. You can also now easily track and manage accurate approval outcomes, removing work-arounds like using review steps for approvals instead. The outcomes of these approvals will show up on the overview page and can be used to further direct the workflow as well.
How
When adding a step to a parallel branch, you will now see the option to add a request approval block.
Unlike other Request Approval step, this step will only have one output path. However, the outcome of the approval are recorded and can be used in conditions later in the workflow, so the approval or rejection of the step can still be used to route the workflow appropriately.
Examples
Here is an example of how you can skip a subsequent step in a parallel branch if the initial approval was rejected.
Here is an example of how you can use the outputs of the parallel approvals to decide how to route the workflow after the parallel branch.
