The Provisioned Licenses, Active Licenses, and Inactive Licenses metrics are being deprecated to ensure you have the best, most accurate data at your fingertips with which to make decisions! They will be replaced with the following new metrics to ensure you can see exactly what data Productiv has available and what it means:
- Provisioned Users - The list of users who have accounts with the application according to the engagement or provisioning connector for the application.
- Engaged Users - The list of users who have performed an engaged user according to the engagement connector for the application.
- Not Engaged Users - The list of users who have not performed an engaged user according to the engagement connector for the application.
- Users With SSO Access - The list of users who have been given access to the application tile via your SSO provider.
- Users Logging In via SSO - The list of users who have successfully logged in (authenticated) into the application using your SSO provider.
FAQ
- Why are you making this change?
The old Provisioned Licenses and Active Licenses metrics used SSO data as a proxy estimate when true provisioning or activity data was unavailable through a direct connector. Through customer feedback, we have learned that this approximation was misleading and eroded trust in Productiv data. By splitting the two metrics into the four distinct metrics and data sources we now ensure that you always know where the data is coming from and exactly what it means.
- What will happen to my existing views and reports?
Any existing saved view or report you currently have that utilizes the old metrics will now appear with the new metrics. The Provisioned licenses will be replaced with both Provisioned Users and Users with SSO Access, and Active licenses will be replaced with both Engaged Users and Users logging in via SSO.
- Will the Export Activity API continue to function? Yes! The Export Activity API will continue to function as it does today. All endpoints affected by this change have a new API version which exposes the new metrics. We recommend upgrading as soon as possible to ensure your downstream consumers are getting the most accurate data possible.
