Customize renewal recommendation calculations
When you calculate the number of users for right-sizing recommendations on a selected app’s Recommendation page, Productiv adds a default buffer of 10% of total engaged users. This buffer gives some flex room in the contract renewal for organizational growth or overhead.
To customize this buffer and rounding thresholds for your organization’s approach to accounting for overhead or business growth, use the app’s Settings page as follows:
- Select Settings from the left navigation list.
- Under Engagement apps, find the app you want to adjust and select the menu icon to the right of the app entry.
- Select Provisioning Settings. Productiv opens the selected app’s Provisioning Settings popup.
- To change the Rightsized Users Recommendation Buffer %, enter a number to include additional licenses as a percentage of the recommendation, to account for overhead/growth.
- Click Save.
To further customize the renewal recommendation, change any of the following:
- First Round-off Multiple - the percentage of additional licenses to include, when the number of right-sized users is more than the First Round-off Threshold number. For example, if you want to increase the number by 8%, enter 8.
- First Round-off Threshold - enter a number of users to use as the threshold for rounding up. If the number of users is below this number, the Right-sized users recommendation Buffer percentage will be used to calculate the renewal buffer. If the number of users is between this number and the Second round-off Threshold number, the First Round-off Multiple percentage will be used to calculate the renewal buffer.
- Second Round-off Multiple - enter a number to include additional licenses as a percentage of the recommendation when the number of right-sized users is more than the Second Round-off threshold number.
- Second Round-off Threshold - enter a number of users to use as a higher threshold for a different buffer calculation when there are more users in the right-sized recommendation.
To revert a number previously changed, select Revert to Default and then select Confirm.
