Use labels for apps to track custom information
If you need general purpose tags to differentiate apps or mark simple data, use labels. If you need more complicated field types or need to make the data a specific column, use custom fields.
Add labels to apps to track key information and provide shared visibility. For example, you can use labels to indicate that an app has access to customer data or that MFA has been enabled on the app.
Productiv Super Admins and Application Admins can edit the labels for an app.
There are multiple ways to manage labels for applications:
On the app’s Overview page
- Click in the Labels area.
- To remove a label, click the X next to it.
- To add a new label, type the name of the label. Any labels currently in use on other apps are suggested as you type, so that you can keep labels consistent. If a label doesn’t match one currently in use, it will say “Create new label” in the options.
- Click outside the section to save your changes.
On the App Portfolio page
- Make sure the “App labels” column is present in your current view of the app portfolio. To add the “App labels” column is in your current view, click the column selector dropdown and select the “App labels” column.
- Click on the cell in the “App labels” column in the row of the app you wish to edit.
- Use the UI to edit the labels for the application.
- Click outside the cell to save your changes.
Using Sidekick
- Open Sidekick by clicking on the Sidekick icon in the bottom right corner of your screen or by pressing CMD+S on your keyboard (CTL+S on PCs).
- Ask Sidekick to add, remove, or change a label for an app.
- Confirm the action within Sidekick. Sidekick will not take action without your approval.
Note that your organization will need to agree to our Generative AI Terms of Service before you can use Sidekick.
