segment views by team, location, manager, and license tier
Narrow down the information presented throughout Productiv using segments. Segments allow you to change the lens of the data you are viewing to dial into details and ask specific questions of your organization's data for a particular user cohort. For example, you may need to know how many apps are used by employees at a particular location.
There are two dropdowns at the top of the App List page to help you segment your data:
- Teams, locations, managers
- License tiers/data sources
Team, location, manager segments
Understand how different cohorts use apps with the Teams, locations, managers segments. All users and locations are shown by default.
Once your organization has uploaded org chart data, you can select one of your teams, locations, or managers.
If your organization has created custom segments, you can select that grouping of users.
To select a user cohort, select an option from the teams, locations, managers dropdown. Or select All users to show all users in all locations.
Note that a maximum of 100 segments are supported for each type.
For team and location, the top 99 segments by size are selectable and the other smallest segments are grouped into a single segment called "Other".
For manager, the top 100 managers by headcount are selectable. Each manager is subject to a minimum headcount threshold of 10. For instance, if a manager only has 5 direct and indirect reports they will not be shown.
License tiers and data sources
License tiers and data sources allow you to focus on the most relevant information, depending on different license tiers and data sources. To select a different group, select an option from the License tiers drop down.
- If your organization has defined default license tiers for your apps, you can choose between the default license tiers or all licenses when viewing your app portfolio. For example, if you have 200 ServiceNow users who answer tickets and 10,000 users who can file a ticket, you may only want to focus on the 200 users with the higher tier of service.
- When working with a specific app, you can choose between the license tiers for that app.
- If an app has multiple sources of activity (i.e., engagement connector, sso login), Productiv defaults to the best available data, but you can select a different data source.
If you’ve selected a different license tier or data source, the filter button shows your selection with a black background.
